Religious Education
Come and See
During our RE lessons, we follow the ‘Come and See’ programme, which was developed by a group of experienced diocesan advisors. ‘Come and See’ is a Catholic Primary Religious Education programme for Foundation and Key Stages 1 and 2 published in July 2012. It provides many resources and activities which we are able to use with our children to help them to improve their understanding of the many different aspects of RE. Please see the planner below for details.
The Backpack Project
A massive congratulations and thank you to all our children and their families for their amazing generosity with our recent Mary’s Meals Backpack Project. We managed to collect enough donations to create one hundred and forty five backpacks, which will be used to help children less fortunate than ourselves make the most of their time at school.
The classes also partake in daily Collective Worship. Some of this is based on a theme derived from the Gospel Reading for that week, whereas other days are spent reflecting on other aspects such as values, scripture from the Come and See programme, or areas pertinent to the class.
