Welcome to Upper Key Stage 2 department's page.
Thank you for all the effort that you are making with home learning during this most unusual of times. Your child's teacher will post a home learning timetable to dojos each week that we are closed. You can use dojo to share work or contact your child's teacher. They will also be available via their school email.
Thank you for all your messages of support and we hope to be back together soon.
God bless and stay safe, The Upper Key Stage 2 team.
All of year 5 are swimming on Monday. P.E. lessons are now on Tuesday for Year 6 and Year 5/6 and Friday for year 5. A pair of trainers and jogging bottoms would be helpful for outdoor P.E. especially if the weather is cooler.
Homework will be sent on Friday, could it please be returned by Wednesday, if your child has a problem with their homework they can ask their class teacher about it on Monday or Tuesday. Please encourage your child to complete their homework as this is good practice for the transition to high school. In addition, it would be helpful if your child could read regularly (10/15 minutes per night), practise times tables, using 'Times Tables Rock Stars' and learn their spellings. Reading books, and reading records, should be brought into school every Friday for checking - even if they are still reading them.
We are continuing to use class dojos as a reward system and to communicate more effectively with parents, thank you to all that have signed up to their parent account. Please sign up as soon as possible if you haven't done so already.
Our topic this term is 'Edinburgh' in which we explore the history, geography and architecture of this famous city. We are looking forward to our visit there. The homework grid is under the homework tab.
If any parents, or grandparents, are able to spare any time, we are always happy to welcome an extra pair of hands to listen to readers, change books, etc. Just speak to your child's class teacher.
If you have any further questions, or need to contact us for any reason, we are available any night after school except Wednesday; you can also message us through class dojos or email us:

Year 5 and 6
We were fortunate enough to be visited by Phil Burton and his friend Iain. Phil talked about his experiences of being a serving soldier and Iain shared his war memorabilia.
